Sunscreen Policy

Summer CARES Sunscreen Policy

Parents/Guardians are required to provide sunscreen for their child(ren) on a daily basis. The sunscreen must be:

  • Spray-on (no lotions) SPF 30 or higher

The sunscreen container must be clearly labeled with the child’s name and grade.

Sunscreen will be collected on Monday morning at drop-off and held on site for the week. (If the child is returning the following week we will keep possession, otherwise the sunscreen will be returned at pick-up on Friday).

Sunscreen will be applied prior to going outside after lunch. Parents/Guardians are required to apply sunscreen to their child(ren) every morning prior to drop off.

If sunscreen is not provided, the child(ren) may be restricted to indoor activities only per the discretion of the CARES Nurse/Site Coordinator.
