The CARES Program (Wilmington Public School District) is upgrading its existing registration system to better serve our community. We have chosen Community Pass to serve as our registration platform.  This new platform will allow us to offer a more convenient process for on-line registrations for programs offered by the District.  Online registration is simple, secure, convenient and accepts all major credit cards.  In person registration is still available to our residents and payment can be made by check, cash or credit card. There is a 2.9% processing fee for credit cards and 1% processing fee for e-checks. All transactions also have a .25 transaction fee.

It is important to activate your account NOW!

Please note that if you live with a spouse/partner, you will share just one temporary (and permanent) username and password.

To create or register an existing account, login or register, follow the instructions found in this letter or on the CommunityPass site.

If you already have an existing Community Pass account with another Organization (e.g. Wilmington Recreation), please follow these steps to register that account with the Wilmington Public School District:

  1. Go to: using the login and password for your existing Family account.
  2. From the Wilmington Public Schools CommunityPass homepage click on the “My Account” tab, select “Update Account Information” and if required, update your profile. If no changes are required, continue to Step 3.
  3. On the upper right-hand side of your CommunityPass account, click on the “Log Out” of Community Pass tab. That's it! Your account is now active with the Wilmington Public School District.

How to Create a Family Account:

  1. Go to:
  2. From the Wilmington School District CommunityPass login homepage click on the “Create an Account” tab.
  3. On the next page complete the “Account Creation” fields and click on Create at the bottom of the page.
  4. On the next page you will see the CommunityPass Privacy Statement. After reading, click ‘Accept.' Then click ‘Finish.'

NOTE: Please save your login and password for future use. Please note that only one account per family is permitted.

How to Register for Programs:

  1. Go to: and login to CommunityPass using the login and password for your existing Family account.
  2. Click the ‘Click Here to Register” button.
  3. Verify your account information and Click ‘Continue'.
  4. Select the program(s) you wish to attend.
  5. Select the person registering for the program selected, then ‘Continue'.
  6. Click on Continue Registering if there are other programs you wish to register for and repeat Steps 5-7
  7. When finished with selections, click ‘Continue to Checkout'.
  8. Please follow the remaining steps to complete your registration including making payment via credit card or check.
