FEBRUARY VACATION WEEK

at Woburn Street School
The C.A.R.E.S. staff is excited about our February Vacation Program! We have lots of fun activities and field trips planned. The Site Coordinators for this vacation will be Mrs. Michelle Malfa from the North, Ms. Gina Haerer from the Wildwood and Mrs. Nora Davidson-Adamek from the Boutwell. Mrs. Deb Marzi, the Apprentice Site Coordinator from the Woburn Street, will also be assisting. If you have any questions during this week please do not hesitate to ask. Below you will find some important information regarding the C.A.R.E.S. February Vacation Program.

Location
● Woburn Street School (B-Level)
We will use the gymnasium, library, art room, cafeteria, playground, and classrooms.
Entrance & Sign In/Out
● 8:00am - doors open
● B-Level entrance (Main Front Doors) - located in the front of the building.
● Pick-up is no later than 5:30pm
● Bring Identification - the staff member at the door may be from another site and may not know you. You will be asked for identification.
● Parent Codes will NOT be accessible during the vacation week. You will need to call one of the phone numbers listed above for dismissal of your child.

Please do not send any food that requires heating or utensils. We will not have access to the kitchen. Lunch and snacks will be held in the café. Breakfast and Lunch will not be served.
Clothing
We are hoping for good weather and we plan to go outdoors as much as possible. Children will need appropriate clothing in order to take advantage of the outdoors. *Please make sure your child is wearing or bringing sneakers with them every day. *Please mark ALL items with your child’s name.

Tuesday 2/22
● No Field Trip- just fun at the school!
● Potential Sledding Day
● Kickoff of Olympiad Color Wars
Wednesday 2/23
● All Grades: Pottery (On Site)
● Children will enjoy the opportunity to create their own pottery craft!
Thursday 2/24
● All Grades: Curious Creatures (On Site)
● Experienced and professional exhibitors teach respect and appreciation for unusual and exotic animals. This will be an interactive experience.
● Presentation is from 1:00-3:15.
Friday 2/25
● All Grades: Chunky’s
● Depart: 10:15am Return: 2:00pm
● Movie- Sing 2
● Lunch @ Chunky’s- Pizza lunch will be served
(nut free). If your child is not having pizza, please don’t forget their bagged lunch!
Cancellations: If the program needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will make the announcement on channels 5 & 7. If it says Wilmington is closed, that’s us.
